SENTIMENTAL FALL WEDDING AT THE ARMORY IN NAPOLEON, OHIO

Ashlyn & Tanner embraced the warm hues of Fall with some dark greens, moody jewel-tones and a touch of dark red & blush roses. It made for a perfectly romantic, vintage inspired wedding day and we loved every minute. To top it off, Ashlyn’s mom poured everything she had (definitely sweat & tears, but hopefully not blood) into making some incredibly personal details for the day.

What we most love about this wedding at The Armory:

The getting ready space

We love The Armory in downtown Napoleon, not only for its historic charm and vintage inspiration, but this venue is set up so perfectly for couples to (basically) move in for the whole weekend. Staying overnight and getting ready in the mini-apartments they have available to rent make for such a stress-free experience!

The little details

Ashlyn’s windsor veil was hand-cut and sewn from her mom’s wedding dress lace. She also had a clutch made from the same material! These little details were so beautiful and meaningful, but there’s more! It seemed like every inch of this day was planned out to a T.

There was not one detail that was not thought out and personalized to match Ashlyn & Tanner’s personalities and vibe. They had a cigar bar, a table set for two in memory of those that couldn’t be there and a fully-stocked dessert table made by…(I’ll give you two guesses)...Ashlyn’s mom! I kid you not, this woman is some kind of superhero, I really don't know how she put all this together. Just scroll through these photos and see the love and passion that was poured into making this day absolutely picture perfect.

The intimacy

You don’t often think of a 200+ guest wedding as intimate, but Ashlyn & Tanner were very deliberate in surrounding themselves with special people. The fact that they were able to have come the day before, set up for the wedding and get settled in, meant that they could have a relaxing morning with the wedding party and hangout while they got ready.

They had a close friend officiate and they wrote their own vows to each other, which made the whole ceremony that much more personal and heartfelt. By making certain decisions throughout the wedding planning process and only doing the things that felt right for THEM, they really set the tone for a wedding day that was truly theirs.

Dogs as wedding guests

Last, but certainly not least, we need to talk about the true guests of honor. Ashlyn & Tanner could not get married without having all FOUR of their dogs by their sides. Yes, you heard me. The sweetest four goldendoodles I have ever seen! These dogs got to hang out while everyone got ready, participated in pictures and walked their humans up the aisle. You would think this would be total chaos, but honestly, these furry friends were so well-behaved, they had me thinking that I should get four golden doodles myself. One of them even fell asleep on duty as best-dog! (MY HEART).
