Ope, you found us!

So, what are we all about?

We’re just a few midwest kids who love pursuing lots of fun hobbies and having a good time. On any given day, you could find us reading a book, watching our favorite show, crocheting a blanket or doing a puzzle (or all 4 things at once!). 

We try not to take ourselves too seriously, we pet every dog we can and we will never give up trying to keep our houseplants alive (emphasis on ‘trying’). We cherish time with our favorite people watching movies or playing board games while eating tacos.

My cup is the most full during game nights with friends, reading a good book while cuddling with our dogs and spending quality time with my huge, crazy family. When I grow up, I want to be on Broadway, but in the meantime, you’ll find me performing my favorite Hamilton & Rent songs for my son, August (aka Auggie, AKA Baby Swatch).

My husband, Brooks, and I are about to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. It’s amazing how much can happen in 10 years! The experiences you have, the adventures you go on, the challenges you face and the progress you make. Add becoming parents to that mix and I feel like we’re totally different people than we were on our wedding day.

Looking back at OUR wedding photos is a reminder of all that we’ve been through since that day, which is why I cherish every wedding day memory I get to capture.

I’m a self-proclaimed Elder Emo and you’ll often find me watching an obscene amount of YouTube doc. The best part of my week is watching the newest episode of The Outdoor Boys YouTube channel with Auggie. Over the last few years, I’ve really gotten into racing and love running virtual endurance races with my buddies. 

Diana is always trying to convince me to go out for ice cream, I’m more inclined to settle in with a big bowl of popcorn (extra butter). After 13+ years together, she’s still the sweet to my savory. I’m a little more on the introverted side and much prefer to exert my social energy on genuine one-on-one interactions with close friends.

I’ve always been a problem solver and love a good creative challenge, which is what draws me to photography and film.

Finding the perfect light, creative angle and the most natural moments are what make wedding days especially fun.

Most days you can find me in sweats, curled up on my couch reading, crocheting, or binge watching a tv show with my fiancé Jake and our pup, Rocky. Now that I’m in the bride to be club, I’m busy planning our wedding! I’ve fallen right into WeddingTok, so come along with me on my wedding planning process there.

I still dream about working for Disney as Princess Ariel (where my redheads at?!).

For now, I'll be here to cheer you on during your wedding day (I've been known to run around and hop into bushes to get the perfect shot)! My favorite part of the wedding day is finally getting to see all the planning come together.

Being a very visual person, I love seeing the colors, florals, wedding dresses, and your love story completely unfold.
