SUMMER WEDDING FEATURE

Summer Wedding Inspiration and Trends We Are Loving

We’re in the midst of summer, and June was packed with beautiful summer weddings! So instead of focusing on just one of those weddings, we decided to pick some things that we loved from each wedding to give you some inspiration for your future summer wedding!

Colorful Wedding Florals & Summer Color Scheme - Katie & Gordon

We absolutely LOVED starting off summer with Katie and Gordon’s wedding. Their wedding was at Nazareth Hall and the florals they had were to die for. From a hanging floral chandelier to vibrant ceremony pieces everything came together so perfectly and really showed their colorful personalities. Not only was the decor perfection, but they created a perfect timeline where nothing felt rushed and they had time to really enjoy themselves and be around their closest friends and family.

New Toledo, OH Wedding Venue - Maggie & Zack

Maggie and Zack’s wedding was at the new Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Downtown Toledo where they got ready and had their reception. They had the Presidential Suite for getting ready which was perfect as it was so spacious, great lighting with all the windows, and multiple balconies which is where we did all the first looks! The ballroom was unlike any that we’ve seen before as there were floor to ceiling windows on the one wall. It made for some stunning reception photos and we can’t wait for more weddings here.

Floral Bridesmaid Dresses & Winery Wedding Venue - Kristi & Tyler

Kristi and Tyler’s wedding was at Gideon Owen which was boasting with beautiful landscaping and is such a great location for a summer wedding. We really loved that all of Kristi’s bridesmaids all had different dresses that they got to pick themselves. We are loving this new trend and the color scheme was perfect for a wedding near the water. They also had a little tailgate before their ceremony in the parking lot with their friends and did something that they wanted to do.

Lush Summer Greenery - Sarah & Tyler

Sarah and Tyler really wanted lush greenery for their photos and that’s exactly what they got! We went to Side Cut Metro Park in Maumee for wedding party photos and their portraits and it was exactly what Sarah was looking for. The weather was perfect for summer and everyone was so excited and happy to be celebrating Sarah & Tyler.

Summer Love Story - Megan & Sarah

We had to include Megan and Sarah’s wedding in this list because the absolute love and happiness that was shown this entire day, left us leaving with the biggest smile on our face. You could just tell the genuine excitement in both of their faces to finally be married and together. They just wanted to be around each other the whole day and you just felt their love radiating off one another. It was such a special wedding to be able to capture!

Lakeside Wedding Ceremony & Family History - Olivia & Marcus

Olivia and Marcus’ wedding was at Geneva-on-the-Lake which really reminded us of Maumee Bay Lodge here in Northwest Ohio. Their ceremony was right on Lake Erie which made for a great backdrop for not only the ceremony but portraits as well. Marcus’ family had moved to the United States before he went off to college from South Africa, so to honor there history there Marcus and his mom danced to the song Africa by Toto. It was really such a cute moment and we loved that they touched on their roots there.
