WEDDING PLANNING TIMELINE WITH BROOKE FROM BEE FOR THE DAY

Planning a wedding can be a lot of work and most of the time, no one really knows what they’re doing! So who is better to ask about planning a wedding than a wedding planner?! We talked with Brooke from Bee for the Day to answer some questions that will help when starting the wedding planning process. We love working with the Bees because we know they always have things under control and they’re super fun to work with! Plus, we notice that our couples who have the Bees there to take care of things for them are much more relaxed and able to enjoy the day.

Wedding Planning Timeline Advice

1. How far in advance should you prepare for a wedding?

The earlier, the better! Many vendors are booked a year in advance and while we can execute a wedding in a short time frame, not all of the vendors that you are hoping to be a part of your wedding may be available. If you have a venue in mind for your wedding and/or reception that is non-negotiable, you really have to base your wedding around the venue's open dates.

2. What should be done 1 year before the wedding?

Select your wedding date first. Then, establish your guest list so that you have an estimate of how many people your venue will need to accommodate. Discuss expectations, financial support, and your budget along with parents and anyone else who will be contributing to the wedding.  And finally, book your ceremony and reception venue(s).

3. When should couples send out save the dates?

8 to 12 months in advance is ideally the best time frame to send out save the dates.

4. Wedding planning checklist? - Do you offer one?

Absolutely! When you become a Bee for the Day Client, you gain access to a locked portal on our website known as "The Hive." This comes with a customized wedding calendar of to-do's that are based on your wedding date. This helps keep you on track and remind you of important tasks that need to be done.

5. What is one piece of advice you offer all of your brides?

Utilize Bee for the Day's services for the parts of wedding planning that are making you feel the most stressed out. The Bees are here to take the stress off of your shoulders not just on the day of, but in the months leading up to the wedding day. Wedding planning is a full time job and although most parts are a lot of fun, there are a lot of logistics that can cause stress. Simply sending an email or making a phone call to the Bees can alleviate those curve balls thrown your way.

6. What do you want people to know about Bee for The Day?

We are more than a day of planner. We offer design services, invitation and guest list management; we have the most experience in the area. Our lead bees have a minimum of 3 years work experience specifically with Bee for the Day and we would never send someone to a wedding without having experience in working a wedding. We can help with every aspect of the planning and alleviate any stressful moments. We don't make it about us but instead, walk alongside the clients and make sure it's all about their vision, executed perfectly.
