WEDDING DAY PORTRAIT LOCATIONS IN TOLEDO OHIO

WEDDING DAY PORTRAIT LOCATIONS

When it comes to wedding day portraits, Toledo is booming with various locations for you to choose from. Your portraits should be curated to your style, look, and who you are as a couple, so choosing a location should be well-thought-out.

CHOOSING A LOCATION FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY PORTRAITS

The first couple of things you’ll want to consider when deciding on a location is the time of year your wedding is and the time of day that the photos are going to be taken. The time of year will affect where the sun is during different times of day, so you’ll definitely want to be aware of that. For example, during the winter months here in Ohio, sunset is around 5 PM, so it’s really important to get outdoor photos done earlier in the day, while in the summer, there’s more flexibility with the sunset being around 9 PM.

Additionally, you’ll want to consider the whole vibe/style of your wedding day and find a location that really matches that. Here are a few of our favorite locations to consider when planning where to go on your wedding day!

TOLEDO MUSEUM OF ART

The Toledo Museum of Art has a very classy vibe with elegant architecture and lots of different spots for photos. Another great thing about the museum is that the building can provide a lot of shade. If we’re taking photos in the middle of the day, this can be very beneficial because the shade will help us to avoid harsh shadows and, of course, squinty eyes!

TOLEDO METROPARKS

Toledo has some amazing Metroparks from Side Cut Park to Oak Openings that make for very adventurous and earthy vibes. These places are perfect for couples that have a love for nature, greenery, and adventuring. Along with the Metroparks, Toledo Botanical Garden is great in the summertime with the various blooms and vibrant colors.

DOWNTOWN TOLEDO

Downtown Toledo offers a wide variety of portrait locations that are sure to fit that urban chic look. From alleyways to the amazing murals that Downtown Toledo has to offer, it’s never hard to find a location that will look amazing for wedding portraits.

Promenade Park offers some great views of the city skyline and Middlegrounds Park sits right on the river under the Anthony Wayne Bridge. Right across the street from Middle Grounds is an old warehouse that is the perfect rustic backdrop for photos, too.

These are just a few of our favorites places to take wedding day portraits, but we know there are SO many more in the surrounding areas. Overall, we want it to make sense to you, so we’ll work together to find the perfect setting.
