It’s been a few years since we’ve made our way up to Saint John's Resort in Michigan for a wedding, but the classic elegance and stunning architecture did not disappoint. The morning of the wedding, we made our way to the adorable town of Plymouth, which was bustling with a farmer’s market right outside the windows of the salon, The Makeup Loft, where the girls were getting ready. We were so tempted to run across the street and pet the mini-horse and shop around, if only we had more time!
But alas, we made our way to the Inn at St. John’s, where the wedding party got dressed and the day began. Maddie and Nathan's wedding, with its white florals and soft greens, was the perfect complement to the venue’s timeless charm. The word that comes to mind for this day is ‘enchanting’. It was like something out of a fairytale and we couldn’t be happier to have been a part of it.
A Ceremony in the Historic Chapel
The couple exchanged vows in the Saints Mary and Joseph Chapel, a Roman Catholic chapel with breathtaking old-world craftsmanship. We couldn’t get over the long aisle with guests facing the center, which really added to the awe of the ceremony itself.
Reception in the Glass Ceiling Atrium
Following the ceremony, guests were welcomed into the Atrium for the reception. This stunning space features a tall glass ceiling allowing for tons of natural light (every photographer's dream). The atmosphere was elegant and picturesque, unlike any other venue we’ve seen before!
A Love Story for the Books
Every moment of Maddie and Nathan's wedding day reflected the love and joy shared among their family and friends. Tears were shed, drinks were poured and the dance floor was packed. Cheers to another timeless fairytale.
And a special shoutout to the team of wedding vendors that brought this day together. Monica from The Best Day Details was a joy to work with and I couldn’t believe the work Jen House Designs did with the floral arrangements. The people we get to work alongside really make all the difference on a wedding day!
