Nazareth Hall, An All-Inclusive Historic Wedding Venue in Northwest Ohio

One of our favorite venues here in Northwest Ohio is definitely Nazareth Hall in Grand Rapids! This historic, picturesque venue is all-inclusive with various getting ready rooms, ceremony locations, and ballrooms to fit weddings of all sizes.

Spacious Getting Ready Rooms

Nazareth Hall has multiple spaces where couples can get ready. On the main floor, there are three different spacious classrooms with big windows for lots of natural light.

There are two bridal suites and the Riverview Library on the second floor. Bridal Suite 1 is very spacious with a few big comfy couches (to relax and enjoy your wedding morning) and lots of windows. (You know we’re looking for ALL the natural light!) There is also a secondary room with hair & makeup stations and big mirrors to get your glam on!

Bridal Suite 2 is smaller, but does include a restroom, big mirrors and a cute chaise lounge. Lastly, the Riverview Library is the largest space with lots of tables and windows (again, LOVE that natural light!).

Beautiful Ceremony Spots

Nazareth Hall offers two great ceremony locations! The Grotto is outside and the Chapel is indoors. You can also book one of the ballrooms for your ceremony as well, depending on the number of weddings there that weekend. You can see that Katie & Gordon opted to use Cadet West for their ceremony which was stunning with the windows and beautiful sun coming through.

Multiple Gorgeous Ballrooms

Nazareth Hall has three ballrooms of various sizes and capacities. Depending on your guest count, they’re sure to have a ballroom that fits your needs and each one has its own unique features. Lady Glen has a balcony that overlooks the ballroom with string lights hung up all across the room. Capacity: 300. Cadet West has gorgeous stained glass windows, white pillars and string lights fit for an elegant aesthetic and lots of natural light. Capacity: 200. The Gabriel ballroom is a little smaller for a more intimate setting, but still has lots of windows for lots of light and a gorgeous view of the property. Capacity: 150.

Our Favorite Photo Locations At Nazareth Hall

With a building this large (and old) on such a big plot of land, there are some amazing locations for photos. We love all of the different areas for photos for not only portraits but wedding party and family photos as well. (It’s especially nice if there are multiple weddings there on the same day, so you don't have to worry about bumping into the other wedding party).

The front of the building has a grand front entrance with pillars and big doors that are perfect for those that love the architecture of the building. The rounded windows that look into the Cadet West ballroom make for another unique background. We also love to go out in front of the building for some truly golden sunset photos that are truly stunning.

We often head down to the Grotto for couple’s portraits with the gorgeous stone structure, rod iron fences and the stone paths that lead up the hills on either side of the grotto. Not to mention, the trees offer a variety of colors and backgrounds anytime of the year!

Rain or shine, there’s also so many places inside the venue to take photos. The historic elevator or grand spiral staircase make for some epic photo opportunities and the large windows in Cadet West provide great lighting on rainy days while keeping us all dry.
