Fall Engagement Session with Blended Fur-Family
You've heard the term 'blended family', right? Well, this engagement session features something of the sort. A slightly more furry kind of blended family...
Sarah & Dave tell me that they instantly bonded over their love for dogs. Dave came with two big rescue dogs, and Sarah had two smaller dogs. Together, they make one big, furry happy family. Dave, Sarah, and the four pups joined us early on an October Saturday for photos on an unseasonably warm day.
We've had the usual vibrant colors on the trees, but we've had something a bit more rare in Northwest Ohio - several days of endless blue skies. And don't get me started on the weather - many days have felt more like June than October or November! Fall is our most popular time of year for engagement sessions, and this year has been no exception. We've absolutely loved getting outdoors with our couples and enjoying the season! Since Dave & Sarah’s wedding is so soon (January 1st!), we wanted to be sure to fit them in before the fall season ended. We decided to meet bright and early on a Saturday morning to watch the sunrise and enjoy the perfect light and serenity at Wildwood Metropark. We couldn’t have asked for better conditions. This late October day was warmer than average, the trees were perfect colors and the park was calm and peaceful. These two rocked this portion of their session, but I’ll admit, I was pretty anxious to get to their house to meet the pups!
I was greeted with licks, tail wags and jumps of excitement! These four were thrilled to meet me and they were ready for their camera debut. We took them for a quick walk around the neighborhood where they each took turns marking their territory and showing off their individual personalities. They will be busy in the next couple months moving into their new home where they are gathering with their closest family and friends for an intimate wedding celebration on New Year’s Day. And yes, the dogs will be there. :D
