Third Anniversary Blog: 2018 Recap
We are now three years into marriage! There are new adventures every day and a never-ending list of things to learn about life, each other and ourselves as individuals. Each time I think about how much we’ve grown in these last few years and how amazing a thing marriage is, I’m reminded how short three years actually is when you are planning on a whole lifetime together. I can’t fathom what the future holds; the trips we will plan, the challenges we will face, the people we will come across the the opportunities that will arise.
As crazy as it seems that this is still only the beginning, we continue to cherish each moment & experience, all the fun memories with family & friends, every argument over whose turn it is to take the dogs out and all of the little things that make our story. As we celebrate our third anniversary, we look back at another amazing year.
In December, we welcomed our nephew, Baby Jack.
January took us down to St. Pete Beach for my cousin’s wedding.
From there, we made our way to Walt Disney World for a magical experience with two of our favorite little guys (and their parents).
I made my way back to the stage for a community theater production of Beauty & the Beast.
Then we made our first trip out to Denver to visit our amazing friends! Check out our little highlight video!
We did a fun and gorgeous engagement session on the Silver Lake Sand Dunes and took the opportunity to stay for the weekend and explore Muskegon with a couple friends!
July was a slow month for weddings, so we took advantage and did a little bit of everything. First, we went on an absolutely amazing Alaskan Cruise with Diana’s family. Check out the blog we wrote about our experience and watch the fun highlight video below!
As soon as we got back, we made our first visit to the beautiful state of Wisconsin where Brooks’ family just moved. Baraboo was such a fun little town to explore with a little bit of hiking, kayaking and even a trip to the circus!
We made our annual trip to Kelleys Island with Diana’s family.
Winston & Fiona got nice and festive for the 4th of July.
August through October were a blur of amazing couples, gorgeous weddings and a few wedding day selfies :)
We even got the chance to shoot Brooks’ cousin’s wedding in Milwaukee & stayed for the weekend to explore the city
We are super excited for what adventures that await us in our new rooftop tent. We finally got a chance to test it out in October at Lake Harrison!
And most recently, we took these two to an archery lesson at AJ Archery for their birthday gift (a little giftsperience, if you will). They loved it!
Naturally, we’re already looking forward to another year of adventures! Next month, we’ll be flying back to Denver for a week. After the holidays, we are planning a road trip (with the rooftop tent) down through Florida to visit several different family members between Tampa, Boynton Beach and Orlando and maybe making a few other stops along the way. Come February, we’ll head back to Denver again, but this time we’ll be hitting the road (with the dogs!!) and making a few stops along the way. 2019 is already filled with weddings and there’s no doubt we’ll pack in a few more trips before it’s over.
Here’s to another year side-by-side.
