Charming Marblehead, Ohio Engagement Session
It's easy to forget how lucky we are to have Lake Erie in our little corner of Ohio. It is such an awesome destination for families and we know a lot of people who call it their summer home. We find ourselves visiting Kelleys Island a couple times year, camping at East Harbor State Park, drinking delicious wine at Mon Ami and shooting beautiful weddings and engagement sessions in the area. That’s exactly what brought us to Marblehead in early May.
We always suggest choosing a location for your engagement session that is meaningful to you and helps tell the story of who you are as a couple. Melinda & Matt chose the charming village of Marblehead, where they spend most of their weekend summers with family. Incorporating summer memories like these made their engagement session that much more special. It was a beautiful early May evening and although the air coming off the lake was still a little chilly, the sun kept us warm and happy.
We spent some time by the lighthouse and then headed downtown where we stopped for some wine at Rocky Point Winery. Melinda & Matt took an adorable little bike ride down the street as the sun went down and it was just so perfect. Not to mention, these two are super fun and sweet. I could tell this was their happy place and it definitely got all of us excited for the summer ahead.
For the next few months, these two will be enjoying lake life and putting together the final details of their October wedding. We couldn't be more excited to get to know these two even more and to see how things come together for their big day.
This week, we're gearing up for a big double wedding weekend. It has been so fun getting to know Ann & Brandon and Brandee & Jason over the last year and we can't wait to see everything come together for them at Maumee Bay State Park and Nazareth Hall. With the amazing engagement sessions lately and the kick off to wedding season being such a fun breeze, we have to pinch ourselves to believe that this is what we get to do with our lives. Keep an eye out on Facebook for sneak peeks and on our Instagram Story for some behind the scenes this weekend!
