Bright & Sunny Fall Wedding at Lakeside Chautauqua
We spent another weekend near Lake Erie! This time, it was a little different. Our friends Ryan & Dana tied the knot and Brooks had the honor of being one of their groomsmen.
The girls got ready in the charming Island House Hotel in Port Clinton. It was a gorgeous ceremony inside Lakeside Chautauqua overlooking the water and blue skies. Although the breeze was a little cool, the sunshine kept us warm as we explored a little bit of Lakeside and then took the party bus to Catawba Island Brewing Co. It was the perfect amount of gorgeousness and fun. The dark purple and orange details along with the pretty pumpkins and leaves got us in the mood for fall (I mean literally, we went and carved pumpkins the next day) and we had a blast celebrating all night with friends.
Most importantly, it was exciting for us to see this day finally come together. I explained our friendship a little bit in the blog post from Ryan & Dana's engagement session. Brooks and Ryan met in college at BGSU where all the shenanigans started. It seems as though their friendship is based on sharing funny things from Reddit and playing pranks/picking on their friend, Mish. I remember hearing about Dana and finally getting to meet her. I loved that Ryan didn't change a thing. The guys maintained their goofy ways and Dana had the perfect balance of either joining right in or completely ignoring it.
We have been able to partake in some fun adventures with these two and have watched them grow as a couple. They've bought their first home and added a sweet little furchild to the mix (you have to visit Little Dennis on Instagram!!). We are so lucky to be able to call them our friends and we plan on keeping it that way until we're all old.
Of course, this day wouldn't have been possible without this super talented team of vendors....
