Eclectic Ohio Memorial Chapel Wedding
If you saw their engagement session, you probably wouldn’t be surprised when I tell you that Brooke & Grant's wedding was perfectly styled and filled with an immeasurable amount of love and joy. It is hard to describe, in words, just how lovely this day really was. But I will try my best!
Brooke & Grant’s late June wedding exceeded every expectation we could have imagined, starting with the stunning ceremony location. The couple had a vision, and the gorgeous historical Ohio Memorial Church in Tiffin fit the bill perfectly. Although some might question why you would drive an hour out of your way for a wedding ceremony, the couple knew this chapel was the place for them. Plus, choosing this chapel turned out in their favor. Not only was it a gorgeous ceremony site with its beautiful stone exterior, gorgeous archways and tall ceiling, but Tiffin avoided the doom of the rainstorm that day. The rain clouds seemed to take a turn in the opposite direction right before the ceremony began.
As Brooke walked down the aisle (she and her father both holding back tears), the giddy excitement in Grant’s face overflowed. As planned, Grant picked up his guitar and sang a beautiful song to his bride-to-be. There wasn’t one dry eye on the room. Then, finally, Grant got to take her hand and lead her to the altar where they said their ‘I do’s’, in between sniffles, smiles and passing back and forth a tissue. The emotional, intimate details of the ceremony were extremely beautiful; and were a perfect match for the gorgeous decor at the ceremony and reception. Between the ethereal floral archway designed by the groom’s mother, the gold-accented lanterns and tree stumps, and the sage ribbons lining the pews, every detail of this day came together in one cohesive style that was uniquely Brooke & Grant.
As the day moved forward and we continued avoiding inclement weather, the new Mr. & Mrs. Perry, along with their bridal party, posed effortlessly with the historical chapel as a dramatic backdrop. We couldn’t believe our own eyes as the beauty and love between Brooke & Grant shone through our cameras. They were so natural in front of the lens! We could have kept going for hours. Eventually, we knew it was time to head back to the reception in Toledo to celebrate (plus, the rain wasn’t going to hold off too much longer).
Originally, the reception was going to be in the backyard of Brooke & Grant’s church, Life Chapel. Although the weather brought us inside, the evening wasn’t any less enjoyable. You can’t beat the delicious flavors of City BBQ, the eye-catching decor including a mock wall covered in antique frames, and a wonderful group of friends gathered together to celebrate two truly amazing people.
We are so glad to have met Brooke & Grant and we loved every minute of their big day. We look forward to keeping in touch with these two as we watch them serve our community with Life Chapel and Impact 419. Follow them on Facebook and consider purchasing a brick to help raise money for Rust Belt Coffee (coming soon to Toledo). Spread the word - Grant has even agreed to shave his beard once 200 bricks have been sold! Can you imagine!?
