Elegant Lace and Rich Maroon Belmont Country Club Wedding

This story starts almost two years ago. Andy called telling me that he and his girlfriend, Ellie, would like to take some couples portraits. However, he wanted to let us in on a little secret - he was going to propose!!

Together, we formulated a plan. We would start the session off normal, just taking some nice photos at W.W Knight Preserve. Then, we would find a time to have the couple stand back-to-back. Little did Ellie know that while she had her back to Andy, he was pulling a ring out of his pocket and getting down on one knee. As I was nervously/excitedly shaking behind the camera, I instructed them to turn around and face each other. It was the sweetest moment and I was just so honored to be a part of it. Some tears were shed and of course, Ellie said yes.

Fast forward a year or so and wedding planning is underway. Meanwhile, they finished up school and started their careers. Andy’s new position at his top choice company takes them to Cleveland and they make the move and settle in there all while planning their dream wedding back at Bowling Green State University, where they met.

Andy & Ellie’s wedding day could not have been any more beautiful. It was exactly what you’d expect for an October wedding. Blue skies, sunshine, not too hot, not too cold. Ellie was absolutely stunning in her lace mermaid gown with a beautifully detailed lace illusion back. Andy was a dapper groom in his blue suit and bow tie. Ellie’s girls wore a deep maroon just rich enough to warm up this early fall day.

We explored the old campus of our alma mater, reminiscing of classes we had in these old buildings and admiring some of the newly renovated buildings. Andy & Ellie even threw on their graduation gowns and walked counter-clockwise around the university seal for good luck. The sweet, emotional ceremony was held in the incredibly charming historic Prout Chapel on campus.

Afterward, guests made their way to Belmont Country Club where they were serenaded by a jazz trio during cocktail hour. The evening continued under twinkling string lights where the dance floor was filled with fun and dancing to celebrate this exciting day.

We continue to be amazed by our incredibly sweet couples, gorgeous details and fun new memories being made. Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Biltz!!

Of course, this day wouldn't have been possible without this super talented team of vendors....
