Last weekend, Brooks and I went on a short getaway to Marblehead Island and stayed at the Victorian Inn Bed & Breakfast. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend with beautiful blue skies and temperatures in the 70's. What started out as a weekend filled with wine & relaxation quickly turned in to an exciting celebration! Brooks proposed!
About this time next year, Brooks and I will have photographed and attended over 40 weddings together AND we will be planning our own! It still seems totally crazy and unreal to me. Sharing tips & advice with all our wonderful brides & grooms is now more than that. Now we'll be taking these tips & advice into consideration for our own wedding!
Our weekend still consisted of wine & relaxation and we didn't want it to end. Our stay at the Victorian Inn was amazing and we highly suggest it! Brooks got down on one knee and proposed right there in our room. As we walked around East Harbor State Park, we called all of our friends & family.
I, of course, could not stop looking at my beautiful ring. We had never been ring shopping before, so Brooks picked it out all by himself at Waddington Jewelers. It has a slightly antique feel and is perfectly unique and beautiful.
We spent the evening at Mon Ami Winery and sat outside on the patio and listening to some awesome live music. Of course, we stocked up on wine and drank some champagne. You might say it was the perfect day. The end of the night brought us to the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen. If you know me, you know that I am a sap for sunsets. Just look at it!
We are truly looking forward to this next year. It is going to be non-stop weddings and we can't wait!
